How to Care for a Drs. Foster & Smith Pet Bed

Many people wonder how they can keep their pet beds clean, yet make sure that they last as long as possible. Here's how to extend the life of a pet bed while making sure it's always clean and fresh-smelling.

Beds:

• Spot clean whenever possible.
• Shake the bed out between washings to prevent clumping. If clumping does occur, the liner can be opened and the fiber "hand fluffed."

Covers and Liners:

• For best results, wash the cover using regular washing detergent.
• Wash the inside liner only when needed.
• Always use cold or lukewarm water.
• Turn cover inside out to protect the no-stain finish.
• Always equalize the load in your washer, especially if the cover is large: sopping wet covers can become so heavy that they may unbalance your washer.
• Tumble dry on low heat, or line dry (recommended for darker colors).

I highly recommend this bed for any dog who sleeps on your bed. I have a beagle, and he use to sleep on my bed ever since he was a pup. He is now 4. As soon as i took the bed out of the box he was all interested, his nose was just a running. then he walked around on it for a little bit and plop down and curled up. Later that night he jumped up on the bed, but i picked him up and set him on his new slumber ball, and he didnt move the rest of the night. Ever since then he sleeps on his new bed. It a great feeling to have a bed not to share w/ a dog.

This was My Westie's (West Highland White Terrier) 6 month old birthday present. She jumped in after tugging & nudging the 'Charcoal' Peppered Paws Slumber Ball Bed. Her beautiful white coat made her look like a bright pearl against the charcoal color.

I decided to go with the larger 32" bed instead of the recommended 18/26" size they suggested. I suggest when ordering this product to keep in mind your dog's sleeping habits. "Jackie" - my Westie - does not sleep in a ball pattern, she actually sprawls out as if she were flying - be it belly up or down. I'm glad I went with the larger size, otherwise she probably would have rolled off a smaller size.

The bed is plush & plump. Right now she's just a little taller than the bed, so she just jumps right in like a bunny rabbit. She LOVES her bed!!! Thank You for this Excellent Product!

My little Jack Russel/Rat Terrier mix Penny LOVES the slumber ball! She is only 8 lbs but I ordered a size larger for her - she hops into it and curls up in a ball right in the middle. She lookes so comfy! During the day she likes to take her toys into it and pretend to bury them! I think it is a great bed for her and the fleecy outside easily unzips to wash, and unlike other beds; goes right back on without changing the look of the bed. It looks nice in my bedroom as well!

I just received this bed for my 11 pound dog, Katie. When I took it out of the box and put it on the floor, she dove right into it. I thought she'd never come out! It does not tip or flatten out, and is very very soft fleece. If it came in human size I'd be sleeping in one! I highly recommend this slumber ball if your dog wants to be super comfy. It is high quality as are all of Drs. Foster & Smith items.

I ordered the biggest one of these and at first My GSP/Lab mix, Maggie, was a little intimidated by it, but by the end of the evening she was comfortably nesting in the ball. She wasn't even sleeping, but she was so comfortable, she didn't want to get up either. I think that this will be great at keeping the dogs cozy during the winter months.

I thought it would never happen - my Jack Russell Terrier is practically hibernating in his new slumber ball. And he looks so so relaxed. It' s a whole new side of him. Yeah, he still has his zany moments but I can adapt to a bit more calm! I ordered the 26 inch ball (based on breed chart) but I wish I would have ordered the 32 maybe even 44 inch for a bit more cush. The snuggle ball looks so comfortable I want one :) Also, great job on the extremely fast shipping - the slumber ball arrived 3 days after the order.

My Boston Terrier loves this bed, and he's only had it for 3 hours! He likes to snuggle into blankets (or my down comforter), so I figured this bed would be perfect for him. I got the recommended 32" and it's a perfect fit. Not too small, but with enough space for him to sink in a little. The cover is extremely soft, and I LOVE that it's removable and washable. I highly recommend it!

I got my 5 yr old doxie a larger bed also this was a life saver literally for her. She got a severe viral infection which caused her to loose use of her limbs temporarily. She couldn't stand up but was able to scoot and roll in this wonderful bed, its material allowed her to even roll on her back and stretch out. As sick as she was the convienance of this bed still allowed her easy access, she loves her bed. Its also comforting to know in the winters months my baby will stay warm in her bed. I did send a pic of emilee belly up in her nice bed to the photo contest.

I have two Min Pins and ordered one bed because they more than often share beds for body warmth and comfort. I ordered one Deluxe Slumber Ball Dog Bed thinking they would share. My dogs love this bed so much. If one is one the bed, the other stands there barking (and whining) trying to get him to move so he can lay down. I am now online ordering another bed so they can sleep, rest and be cozy in comfort together... without the barking. I highly recommend the bed to anyone in question of its quality. If my dogs could vote... they would give it two paws up!

This is by far the best bed I have ever purchased for my Labrador Retriever. She is a snuggler and I hoped she would like the slumber ball. When I opened the package and put the bed on the floor, she ran and jumped right into the middle of it and did not want to get up. This will be great for her 11 year old achy bones!
