This is great stuff for amphibians and forest dwelling reptiles. If kept moist and deep enough plants will grow in it. I will continue to use this product for the captive care of my amphibians and forest dwelling herps.
This bedding is wonderful, especially for humid loving herps! I use it for my togo fire skink, my three toed box turtle to burrow in, and my fat tail gecko absolutely loves it in his humid hide. Keep up the good work and price!
So versatile! I use this stuff for hermit crabs, frogs, and inside hide boxes for my lizards to keep up humidity. It really helps with a natural look in terrariums too. And this the best price anywhere!!! I like how you only have to make up as much as you need at one time and can store the dry "brick" in the meantime.
I just ordered three more bricks of this product. I find it the best substrate there is. It's easy to clean-easy to store and fantastic for all herps. It contains no splinters, no twigs, no junk. I keep my snakes on it and love it-have used it for years. I buy it at Drs. Foster/Smith for 1/4 the price that area pet stores sell it at but putting that aside, it's a safe, great substrate. Mix it in bucket with water. Let it dry than use it. One 'brick" makes a lot of substrate.
